If you are like me, what you really want to do is hose down everything outside everyday to get rid of as much pollen as possible, but that is not really practical so let’s stick to things we can clean until more plants, trees and shrubs having finished blooming and our Spring storms wash it all away.
The pollen outside may make some of us feel stuffy and a little sluggish, but there are things inside that can be doing the same thing. Thankfully, we can do something about it:
- Clean your fans! That’s right; a job that is not much fun can help you breathe better. Clean the blades and the motor housing to ensure you remove all dust and build-up.
- Make sure you clean and disinfect your humidifier or dehumidifier according to the manufactures’ instructions.
- Check your air vents. Has it been years since they have been cleaned? Or have you recently done any remodeling in your home? If so, there are all kinds of dirt, dander, pollen, etc. building up in your air vents that need to be removed. Every time your heater or a/c blows air through them it is stirring all that up and putting it into the air you breathe.
Carmine’s doesn’t clean ceiling fans, but we sure do clean air ducts so if you are not sure if yours need cleaning remove your vent cover and take a peak with a flashlight. If it needs a good cleaning call us today at 203-791-8090 to schedule your appointment. You will be breathing better and helping your heating and cooling system run more efficiently and effectively.
